Welcome to our July release notes! We've been hard at work introducing new features such as our Universal Snapshot API, a Polygon plugin for ChatGPT, and Indices data. We've also made a number of improvements to our services and have some exciting case studies and tutorials to share with you. Read on to learn more about these exciting updates to the platform.
We launched the Universal Snapshots API endpoint. This new feature allows you to fetch multiple tickers across Stocks, Options, Indices, Forex, and Crypto assets with just one API call. With this, you can efficiently track price movements throughout the day and quickly ascertain market status. Additionally, we've streamlined our response format for a cleaner, faster, and more consistent user experience.
We released the Polygon plugin for ChatGPT. This new addition to your financial data toolkit allows you to leverage AI to conduct research and discover insights from our extensive catalog of financial information.
We launched our Indices API endpoints, offering real-time and historical market data for over 11,400+ Indices, including popular ones like the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, Nasdaq-100, and the VIX. With access to comprehensive market data, we're empowering businesses and individual investors to make informed decisions in today's rapidly evolving financial markets.
We've enabled gzip compression by default in our latest Python and Golang client libraries. This move is part of our continuous effort to improve user experience and allows for faster data downloads.
We launched CSV support for our REST APIs. Users can now choose between JSON and CSV formats when making requests to our platform, reducing the need for manual data transformation and making financial data more accessible.
